Qatar is Added to Eligible Countries list of e-Visa India


There is good news for the nationals of Qatar country as it has been recently added in the list of eligible countries for e-Tourist Visa India, thus extending the list of eligible territories for an Indian visa. As of now, total no of eligible countries is 167. This marvelous step has been taken by the embassy of India, Doha.

Talking about the e-Visa India, it is issued to the foreign nationals who have submitted the online application form. The application form is completely online, you don’t need to submit it physically at the embassy. The approval for the visa (ETA) is sent to the applicant on the mail only within 4-5 working days.

After the applicant grabs a valid ETA, a visa will be stamped on the visitor's passport at the immigration counter at Indian airport of arrival. The applicant is accountable for biometric details which are confined at immigration on arrival in India.

Indian embassy announced, “It is to be noted that the facility provided with e-Visa is not as same as that with visa on arrival”. Without ETA, any foreign national cannot enter the country.
E-Visa facility is only assigned to those who are coming to India with the sole purpose of visiting, sightseeing, casual meet to the friend, medical checkups, and short business trip.
If candidate objective doesn’t fall in the above criteria, he/she must contact the India embassy for the suitable visa facility. 
 
Candidate must make sure that the passport validity must be at least 6 months from the date of arrival. Moreover, the passport must have 2 blank pages to be stamped by the immigration officer.
The traveller needs to enroll for the return ticket or onward journey ticket altogether.
One cannot avail the e-Visa facility on the behalf of parent’s or spouse’s passport. Every individual needs to have a passport in order to get e-Visa India.
